Two dogs are seen guarding a bicycle in Nanjing, capital of southern China’s Guangxi Province. According to owner Luo Ganren, the pair are protective of him and his possessions. My bike has no lock, and I never worry it would be stolen, thanks to my two puppies. They will guard the bike by holding the bars until they see me back.

Hearing Yo-Yo Ma duet with pianist, Kathryn Stott was probably one of the best two hours of my life!! Together, the cello and piano blended into one absolutely beautiful sound that filled the concert hall of the Mondavi Center at UC Davis. When I closed my eyes, the imagery and colors were breath taking. When I opened my eyes, the two artists playing together, their bodies moving in unison, was a beautiful sight. At the end of the Brahms suite and the other wonderful pieces, Ma and Stott even did two more encores!! One in honor of the late Robert Mondavi and the other a Gershwin Prelude that I had played!!! Goose bumps were abundant and the smile never left my face.
This confirmed that I need to do a music and an art minor and that art brings me so much joy. This experience was one that I will never forget.
